Fiona and her cousin Tom run the Cozy Nook B&B in Peaks Point. During a celebration at the B&B, a stranger wanders into the party and collapses. After the man dies, Daisy is determined to identify him and find out what happened to him. She discovers that he is Jacob Mercer, an investigated reporter with many enemies. Along with Tom, Fiona’s best friend Iris and Sheriff Jack, Fiona is able to identify the killer and bring them to justice.

Belle has a fun writing style that keeps the plot light and filled with humor. She has created quirky characters that help move the story along. The ending was a complete surprise to me. This book is part of a 3 book series. Though this book is a stand-alone, it took me a bit to figure how the characters fit together, so I would suggest the reader starts with Book 1 to get a feel of the characters. Overall, I think there is a lot to like about this book.
