When I began this book, I was unaware that it was the this was the third book in a series. I was pretty lost at first, but the plot caught my attention and I really got into the story. There were still a lot of holes and things I felt I missed because I had not read the first two books. The main characters, Maggie, Harper and Biscuit (Maggie’s emotional support dog) are trying to solve a murder that is connected to Maggie’s past….a past that she doesn’t remember. As some of her memories come back, she finds herself in danger from the person behind the murder(s). I would definitely recommend this book to other cozy readers with the caveat that they start at the beginning of the series as to have a better understanding of the plot.
